Community is God's idea. It's the reason He created us! We were created to be recipients of His love, kindness, favor, and blessings. It doesn't get any more exciting than that.

Community starts with love. Everything starts with love. This is not a blank acceptance of everything—that is what our general society is wanting us to believe, that community is a blind acceptance of everything (with the exception of Christianity/morality). This is hard, building community with people you don't align with. We all have it. In my own neighborhood I'm faced with many instances where I am not okay with certain things. I struggle to know how to build community. All I know is, I have to start with loving the person and know that I genuinely want what's best for them. That's the starting point of community. We may not be able to have relationship but we can still participate in community.
