There is always an undercurrent of life pushing and pulling us – much out of our control. Sometimes too much for us. The stillness of peace is what’s inside, not outside. How can we tap into the internal peace when the current of conflict threatens to pull us under?

PSALM 40:4 [CJB] How blessed the man who trusts in Adonai and does not look to the arrogant or to those who rely on things that are false.

EPHESIANS 1:2 [CJB] Grace to you and shalom from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

PSALM 35:27 [CJB] But may those who delight in my righteousness shout for joy and be glad! Let them say always, “How great is Adonai, who delights in the peace of his servant!”

PSALM 34:12-4 [ESV] What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

PSALM 34:14 [AMPC] Depart from evil and do good; seek, inquire for, and crave peace and pursue (go after) it!

1 CORINTHIANS 14:33 [ESV] For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

ROMANS 14:17 [AMP] for the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking [what one likes], but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

ROMANS 14:19 [AMP] So then, let us pursue [with enthusiasm] the things which make for peace and the building up of one another [things which lead to spiritual growth].

PSALM 37:11 [TPT] But the humble of heart will inherit every promise and enjoy abundant peace.

MATTHEW 5:5 [TPT] What blessing comes to you when gentleness (meekness) lives in you! For you will inherit the earth.
PSALM 37:11 [CJB] Put your hope in Adonai, keep to his way, and he will raise you up to inherit the land.

ISAIAH 26:3 [AMPC] You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.

ISAIAH 26:3 [NASB] The steadfast of mind Thou wilt keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in Thee.

The word "mind" in Isaiah 26:3 is the Hebrew word "yetser" which is also translated imagination.

ISAIAH 54:10 [CJB] For the mountains may leave and the hills be removed, but my grace will never leave you, and my covenant of peace will not be removed,” says Adonai, who has compassion on you.

MATTHEW 10:12-13 One you enter a house, speak to the family there and say, “God’s blessing of peace be upon this house!” And if those living there welcome you, let your peace come upon the house. But if you are rejected, that blessing of peace will come back upon you.

JUDGES 6:23-24 [GNV] And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee: fear not, thou shalt not die.Then Gideon made an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah Shalom (The Lord of Peace)…

PSALM 23:2-3 [TPT] [The Lord] offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life.
