One of the criticisms the world gives to Christians, in general, is that they seem to not care for the earth. Perhaps they're right. A True Believer in Yeshua should love what God loves. God loves His creation. He IS the Creator. Nature is a reflection of His nature and scripture is constantly telling us to pay attention to the lessons that the earth and creation desire to reveal, the parables and symbolism between creation and nature - and us. The world and all that is in it, around it, above it, is designed to glorify God. Are we paying attention? Are we bing good stewards of what He gave us?

It's always important to understand context in all verses. In Nahum, this is a prophecy over Nineveh. The were wicked and this was just before the final fall of the city. God is revealing Himself as both a judge and a place of safety: who He was depended on the person, the wicked knew Him as a vengeful God but those who trusted God knew Him as a stronghold and protection. These verses show how nature is part of God's personality/who He is. Nature responds to God.
