It doesn't take more than a few moments of pondering to realize how profound and symbolic is the hand. It's used to express care, can cause harm, we use it to communicate, represents power, authority, and position. We worship with our hands, wipe away tear, create and build - and even to defend orate away a life. Ultimately, the hand represents the PERSONHOOD of a person. We look at the hand: the lines, fingers, nails, and marvel at all that it can do and what it says about us. As with our lips, it appears to be just as important to consider what we do with our hands.
Bible versions used will vary and some may be paraphrased.
