These verses and any linked articles/stories are intended to help jumpstart you in your own studies. MOST VERSES ARE BEST UNDERSTOOD WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE WHOLE LETTER in which it was written. We can’t emphasize enough how important it is to have your own bible and seek on your own. no one or any resource can replace one-on-one time with the king.
Our thoughts are a topic that God has spent decades teaching me (and still is)...because I needed some deep cleaning and a major change in my thought life. God was directing me to get brutally honest about my real motives. I was deceived into thinking I had good motives in many aspects of my life, but God was so gentle and gracious to show me how void of love I was in my thought life and motives. Anyone can learn to adapt behaviors to suit certain situations and moments, but real change comes when we learn to love in our thoughts and in our motives. Then, our words and behaviors won't need any effort on our part as when our heart is pure and filled with the love of God, it automatically flows out of us.
