1 CORINTHIANS 3:16 Don’t you realize that together you have become God’s inner sanctuary and that the Spirit of God makes His permanent home in you?
(note: "together" - this book of Corinthians is addressing a particular issue within a house church, led by a woman, Chloe. His main topic is unity but addresses it in combination with all the spiritual gifts - including preaching and teaching. He is exhorting all of them: men and women, to work together in the Spirit.)
ROMANS 16:1-2 Now, let me introduce to you our dear and beloved sister in the faith, Phoebe, a shining minister of the church in Cenchrea. I am sending her with this letter and ask that you shower her with your hospitality when she arrives. Embrace her with honor, as is fitting for one who belongs to the Lord and is set apart for Him. So provide her whatever she may need, for she’s been a great leader and champion for many-I know, for she’s been that for even me!
ROMANS 16:27 [as translated from Arabic]: “Paul’s letter was transcribed by Tertius in Corinth and sent from Corinth and carried to Rome by Phoebe.”
Phoebe, a woman, was personally selected by Paul to hand-deliver what we read as the Book of Romans to the Believers in Rome! She is identified as a LEADER among Believers and highly respected by the Apostles. She is treated with the same honor as any man who was a leader among the early Christians.
ROMANS 16:3 Give my love to Prisca (or Priscilla) and Aquila, my partners in ministry serving the Anointed One, Jesus, for they’ve risked their own lives to save mine. I’m so thankful for them, and not just I, but all the congregations among the non-Jewish people respect them for their ministry. [TPT]
Paul mentions Prisca (Priscilla) and her husband Aquila several times in the NT. She is widely accepted as the leader of their minstry, while her husband is in a supporting role. She is even considered as a potential author of the book of Hebrews. The book of Hebrews is unknown/unverified.
ROMANS 16:6 And give my greetings to Miriam, who has toiled and labored extremely hard to benefit you (lit. “to beautify you”). [TPT]
ROMANS 16:7 Make sure that my relatives Andronicus and Junia (or Julia. Possibly husband and wife) are honored, for they’re my fellow captives who bear the distinctive mark of being outstanding and well-known apostles and who were joined in the Anointed One before me. [TPT]
Junia (or Julia), a woman, is recognized as an Apostle. The Greek implies that they were "famous, prominent, outstanding". They believed in Christ before Paul, so were very eary Christians.
ROMANS 16:12 Please greet Typhena and Tryphosa, for they are women who have diligently served the Lord.
ROMANS 16:12 To Persis, who is much loved and faithful in her ministry for the Lord, I send my greetings.
ROMANS 16:15 Give my regards to Philologus, Julia, Nereus and his sister, and also Olympas and all the holy believers who meet with them.
