25 Scriptures That Bring To Light Where God Meets Us

In the quiet of our thoughts;
Issue No. 12: seen & Unseen
In the middle of a crowd;
In the midst of the noise;
In the stillness of an empty space;
There’s a place we’ve learned to fear—
The Place of Zero.
Yet, the Place of Zero is also the
place of our greatest blessing:
it is where God meets us.
It was on the floor of my little office, after I had closed a failed business, that I found myself literally crying and asking God where He was. There were numerous issues tearing at my soul, and I felt very, very alone on top of feeling like a disappointment to myself, God, and others with the closing of a business and other personal situations. That’s when I said aloud, to myself: “I’m in a place of zero.”
Reaching the bottom was spiritual turning point in my life. God began to introduce Himself to me, redefining who I thought He was. In the process, God began to unravel misconceptions about myself and so many other things, for the purpose of healing my soul. My experience was so powerful that I’ve learned to embrace those moments when I feel like I’ve stumbled into the place of zero. That’s because it is always where God meets us.

Issue No. 12: Seen & Unseen includes articles and a worksheet for those who feel unseen; who find themselves in the place of zero.
Questions are good to ask. They lead us on amazing rabbit trails, and I’m a huge fan of exploring rabbit holes and trails, particularly in scripture. As such, I asked myself what the Bible has to say about where we can find God. This opened a HUGE door because, to sum it up, He’s everywhere. If we are looking for Him, He’s there. However, in the seeking, we encounter fresh revelations of Him. So, let me encourage you to not settle for a thin mental assent to the Truth that God is everywhere; instead, starting with the scriptures I have shared below, be brave enough to dive into this deep rabbit hole, and you will find that God is specifically waiting for YOU to find Him so that He can reveal a personalized and meaningful treasure! You will know Him in a way no one else does, and that is so exciting to think about!
It’s unfortunate that it usually takes us falling into those hard seasons and feeling as if we’re in a “place of zero” before we’re motivated to really seek Him…but jump into this adventure and get excited about not only learning about specific places of where God meets us, but what it reveals about who God is and what He likes. (For example, God really loves gardens and vineyards!). As you get to know where He likes to be, you actually will start to see Him better.

Use these scriptures above to soak and meditate or use them to pray. God’s word is most effective when we really take it in and let His words integrate into our whole being! This leads to revelation which leads to transformation. I have an example of praying through some of these scriptures on my Substack. You can see it here.
